Read the letters starting with the one entitled "Listening Tests & Biased Listeners" and those following at the link below.

Banks and Krajicek later administered a smaller but better designed one with the same two amp models, though with different speakers, and came up with more secure positive results. They also discussed statistical issues with Stereophile's test.
