...especially the "+N" part. I've always found this incredibly annoying. Here you have things like DACs and class AB amplifiers which have the potential of increasing distortion as the level decreases. So is the rising THD+N of these devices as level decreases due to decreasing S/N, increasing distortion, or some combination of these? The distinction is really important, and hidden by THD+N. Grrrrr...
