Even anongst believers there are biases that support certain materials. For example you'll have those that swear off silver as sounding thin/harsh/etc., a generalization that doesn't always hold; try TG Audio pure silver as just one example.
That along with the items you've mentioned (which will lead to length restrictions, possible placement/routing care, etc) and clearly VDH carbon fibre isn't set to displace traditional materials anytime soon!
As for what it sounds like I'd wouldn't mind trying myself.
Everything matters, don't forget to tweak your placebos!
