Because who cares? I've moved on to the next big thing: converting my stove insert into a wood-fired speaker. The Vaux Swifts went somewhere else to breed last summer so the time is ripe.
Eat your heart out, these will forever remain out of reach of sun-belt audiophiles. I understand that every attempt to substitute pellets or presto logs has resulted in a compressed mid-range and produced a forlorn image.
Once completed I can start tweaking. I'm thinking Oak for Mozart and Douglas Fir for Handel and Brahms. I bet proper seasoning is going to be crucial for a clean burn, and sweeping performance.
I know, you won't believe that the fuel really matters, let alone the damper settings and claim that it's all in my imagination. For once, you'll be right!
