Most evidence suggests your comment is correct whether we consider each particular audiophile or the audiophile community as represented by it's publications.

The truth is that what we consider "sounds better" is a purely subjective conclusion.

So it's reasonable that price plays a part in that subjective conclusion.

It's true with wine as well as audio.

Does someone actually deny this?
