Although the humour of your post wasn't lost on me, for those who care to see it, my actual audio system is kept as simple as possible. The reason for that is I believe the less electronics in the path the purer the signal. So when I but a CD into my BlueNote Stibbert CD Player the signals travel through a Z-Squared Audio Au/Au IC until it reaches the Mastersound Reference 845 integrated amp. ---I did minor tweaks to this amp by replacing the stock 12AU7s preamp tubes with Mazda "Chrome-Plate" 6189s or 12AU7WAs if you prefer that designation. Then I replaced the stock Tung-Sol "driver" 5687s tubes with Bendix 6900s and finally I replaced the original Billington Gold 845 tubes with SuperTNT 845B output tubes!--- Now that the Mastersound has received the signal it feeds the signal to a pair of Nordost BlueHeaven Bi-Wire speaker wires, which in turn presents that signal to a pair of Aliante Pinafarina Ones. Finally the Aliantes with help from the room, present me with a wonderful replication of what's on the actual CD itself.
Hey Richard did Nicolas "the knife" and Tony "two times" arrive yet? If not you should be expecting them anytime now. These are a pair of really nice guys who'd love to have a little talk about audio systems with you. Also if it's not too much out of your way would you please feed my two Italian Cane Corso Mastiffs ---Heckle & Jeckle--- the guys brought along for company? At 211 and 250 pounds they eat a lot so be sure to have plenty of dog food on hand ---trust me you don't want to be around these two critters when they're hungry For some strange reason they get cranky.
