Upon closer inspection I found it had 3 hinges and a latch. Once I got over my fear of the unknown I released the latch and pulled the plank open. Much to my amazement I found a whole 'nother world on the other side of that wall. It seems my bravery expanded my horizons. It's not for everybody though.
