One, most of them badly interfere with FM reception. Two, I've not heard one that touches good solid state, let alone good tubes, sonically speaking.

As if that's requisite to judge the products..... And as if someone has actually done so..... (One may *think* he's heard every model produced, but there's always a product or two out there he doesn't know about.)
I've auditioned seven different products, the two Sonic Impact (the expensive silver aluminum unit is OK), Red Wine Audio (best sounding of the type, but bettered by Samson solid state), Teac (sounds grainy- It's actually sitting dormant on the SET system table), NuForce 8 Monoblocks (sounded nice, but then "NO MAS, NO MAS!!!", interference monster), Tact ("artificial tube warmth"), and Spectron ("dead" sounding- the biggest disappointment for the price).
