Apparently all the TFM series solid state amps were exactly that. TFM means Transfer Function Modified and it was my understanding that the mighty Silver Seven tube monos were the reference transfer function. So maybe the Silver Sevens were not that great sounding after all OR Bob was unable to work his magic for production?? Either way the TFM solid state amps, while not too bad are far from SOTA.
