It's very rare that audiophiles who buy high end equipment have ever been heard to say "I can't hear a difference"
... so if those words are almost never spoken,
these audiophiles are strongly implying
virtually all components sound different to them.
They don't have to shout "everything makes a difference"
from a street corner because that belief backs up
ALL their statements about audio.
Unfortunately that everything sounds different belief falls apart like a cheap suit when it comes to demonstrating those hearing skills to witnesses.
I say "virtually all" components sound different because sometimes a golden ear will say he will need a long-term audition to hear a difference ... although much more typical is a golden ear declaring a difference SO HUGE even the wife could hear it,
after about 14 seconds of listening.
