Yes Richard you're talk is cheap. Knowing you understand that I find it strange that's all you continue to do, talk, talk, talk about other audiophiles and what's wrong with them. That type of post seems to make up the vast majority of what you talk about here lately.
I on the other hand have taken the time and tested myself. Once I knew I could reliably detect differences I then PROVED to witnesses that I can detect differences in some 1M interconnects! I say some for a few reasons:
a) I've not heard every interconnect.
b) Some interconnects immediately sound wrong to me and I don't want to listen to them.
c) Some interconnects sound very similar, if not the same to me, (so much for your claim that subjectivists believe EVERY component sounds different BS) and I'm not attempting to detect extremely subtle differences. Why? Because if the difference so subtle I'd have to strain to hear the differences why would I want to upgrade to that type of interconnect?
d) Some interconnects actually do sound different from others.
I've even gone so far as to extend a personal warm welcome to you to come to Orlando and allow me to prove this to you personally some day. Sadly you continue to decline to come.
You actually seem to prefer to continue with more sarcastic talking (which as you say is cheap) about demonstrations of what you call exceptional hearing abilities. Personally I prefer to use a term that's a lot more accurate than your disparaging remark. I call this ability what I know it to be: well-trained ears! It is most definitely not because of any "exceptional hearing abilities" on my part or anyone else I know.
The funny thing (sad actually) is that you refer to my comments about tests I've actually performed, or my comments about my proving to witnesses there are audible differences among wires that are easy to hear (once taught what to listen for) as being "cheap talk." What's really pitiful is you make these disparaging comments while you, continue to make up stories about subjectivists like myself, to "support" your erroneous beliefs about us. That you could actually refer to my comments about the tests I've done as "cheap talk" or to call my integrity into question by stating they never seem to be accomplished as if they tests weren't actually done, while you repeatedly state your numerous mistaken beliefs about subjectivists as if they're facts is hypocritical at the very best. At the very least I took the time to attempt verify what I hear, instead of just believing I heard a difference or like you just believing there are no real differences to hear! All the time you continue on with your "cheap talk" about subjectivists and their "supposed" problems.
Finally you're correct when you state there's no doubt that some people have better hearing abilities than others. You're even correct in stating so far there's no proof that anyone can even come close to proving that "everything sounds different." But what you don't understand is the reason no one can prove "everything sounds different" is actually a quite simple one. No one really believes that's true except YOU! It's a shame that you've apparently actually come to start believing in the mistruths you attribute to subjective audiophiles. This belief is only true in your mind Richard! I defy you to provide some proof that subjectivists believe "everything sounds different." Once again I ask for some proof of your mistruths about subjectivist beliefs be provided and once again, as always, I'm sure you'll balk...
