Maybe this has been discussed before or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but what if all these accessories and circuit designs that stir so much discussion & controversy really is a fight between the logical left-side brain and the emotional right-side brain. Good music seems to be an emotional rush. For some reason, certain folks are not satisfied with simply feeling the moment; but have an urge to rationalize and quantify the experience. They search for circuit designs, specific cable types, specific speaker types, variety of specific accessories to somehow insure the same emotional experience.
But, like good liquor or a fine foxy woman---everyone has a different “boat” that makes them “float.” And to convince a Blonde lover that this Brunette is IT, will always lead to controversy. My Jessica Alba is your yesterday’s news. So maybe, it’s cool that there are 1000 dissimilar “perfect” systems. And 4 million various “must-have” accessories. And those that like “low-every” power supplies and those that like big momma caps and chokes in their power supplies. To get the rush from my Scotch, you may need to drink Cognac. After all, if this make you “feel” your Jessica Alba, that’s all that matters.
I think that positive discussion about the various system designs and components is healthy. But, to inflict one’s idea upon another like it’s THE answer, in a fervent religious manner seems to be counterproductive. I feel that there is plenty of room for many interpretations of which system triggers THE response.
