him to pull out the wire and do a DBT test instead. Incidentally, in repeating this story to a local electrical utility engineer, he informed me that switching the aluminum wire with the same gauge of copper wire will increase the amperage capability by about 60%. The normal 100 amp service line will have an increased capability of a 16o amps. But I forgot, there are no other possibilities, are they?
