yourself, when you state "things that move wear with age." The question would be how much wear and when does that wear actually plateau out.
As far as for other constiuent parts within a speaker, it is a known fact that capacitors last longer when charged up, but how much charge does a cap take in a crossover?
Also if you glance further up, there are those who do not really believe in speaker break in. That's fine with me as their opinions are their opinion, but in terms of searching out a rationale for 'break in', that does not help any.
