Soundmind no one asked that you throw away your degree. Nor did anyone suggest that the right wood knobs will solve EVERYTHING! I would most certainly hope that without listening you wouldn't be convinced. However I think it's foolish on your part to outright dismiss an idea without at least listening to the product. It's quite possible that this wooden knob damps vibrations better than standard bakelite knob. What's so laughable about that?I don't believe you or I "will be shocked by this" level of improvement, as the AD suggests. Nor do I believe a wooden knob is worth almost $500 <<< Now that is laughable. But to outright dismiss the idea of improved dampening & reduced vibrations improving the sound, just because the component being "hyped-up" in advertisment is almost as foolish as the AD is....
