Re: On a different note: Response to Morricab on Amplifiers

Morricab, you outdid yourself here, you picked out the only comment with subjective connotations and wrote a few paragraphs on it, whilst remaining totally oblivious to the substantive issues expressed in the body of the post.

The issue here is not about audibility of distortion, but about the type of distortion produced by SE amplifiers with no feedback (NFB), Jim Lesurf contends that the distortion produced by such amplifiers when fed with real music signals is much worse than that produced by P-P arrangements both in level and anhormonic components, He also contends that the distortion produced by these amplifiers becomes progressively worse as the music signal gets more complex, a reasonable scenario when one considers what feedback was designed to accomplish in the first place. As a consequence of this, He contends that ( an opinion previously expressed here by bwaslo) that the opinion expressed by NFB SE proponents that though 'NFB SE amplifier have higher distortion, they preserve harmonic content' is wholly invalid.
