I must admit that I have just found out that this was a dedicated DBT page

I approve of such, especially were it not just advocacy of DBTesting but also had results such as I will discuss in a moment. Why, however, is this page described as for Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics?

I psychologist friend brought my attention to an interesting article in the Journal of Neurophysiology titled "Inaudible High-Frequency Sounds Affect Brain Activity: Hypersonic Effect," 3558-3558, 2000. Subjects were presented LFC, low frequency component with no music content above 22k Hz, and HFC with only music above 22 k Hz. They used self reports and alpha-EEGs measures.

Subjects said they heard nothing when only the HFC was presented, but when LFC and HFC was presented the EEG showed increased brain activity which was interpreted as more pleasant which was not there when the HFC was removed.

This suggests that our brains react to HFC even if beyond audibility.
