Sometimes the shock on the lips seems small and insignificant, however still extremely irritating and bothersome while trying to concentrate on singing!! I play electric guitar and often suspect the polarity on the guitar amp may be set opposite from the PA head... or the PA head polarity may be opposite from the Monitor amp, etc.. However, I use vintage guitar amps and early Peavey PA heads that, even though grounded, have two polarity settings with the on-off switch. I always try and make sure the polarity is set in the same direction.
Also, if you have any guitar preamps, pedals, equalizers, or any other component which have a two prong plug, you may try and reverse the plug on one or more of these components. You may have to use trial and error to find the culprit. For example, I have an MXR 10 band EQ (with a two prong plug)that I always make sure to plug in the same way everytime I set up. I often suspect these smaller components can potentially add a slight unwanted voltage into the mix if not plugged in the right way. But it's hard to give advice without knowing the exact setup you are using.
