terrapin tapes is a good source, note that they even state on their website that DDS tapes are the same or better than audio grade tapes. The cost is sooo much lower, $3 vs $5-6 that every 100 tapes would pay for a new head anyhow. Tho I dont think youll need it. I have gone through severl thousand hours on a panasonic that still runs fine and several thousand more on a fostex that is still happy as can be. I have saved $5000 by using dds tapes, and havent seen any ill effects. To each his own tho.
