The other guy is right on the quality issue but.....

Did you disconnect everything from the amp and turn it on?

This could be a protection issue and the unit is not kicking in
to protect circuits/output transisters from melting down

You will know the problem lies elsewhere if you disconnect
the inputs/outputs and the amp kicks on

I just suspect you have a waranty issue and I suggest you
take advantage of it ASAP
