pro/dj turntaable for home use??????????

i just purchased a jolida tube preamp w what i hear is a smoking phono stage. i'd like to dabble in lp's a little. my budget is around $150. i see lots of tables in this range. are these appropriate for decent quality home lp playing? will they tear up lp's? or shpould i suck it up and pay $300 for a rega or music hall? thanks
