Home Pro Audio Asylum

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

Thanks guys

I have had some (good and bad) experiences with home to pro level matching, so I know what to expect. As far as the fan noise, I have the option of placing the amp in an adjoining closet, or taking on one of the "fan mods" that others have done to their home-based pro amps, to reduce noise.

Is it true that the pro amps using the older conventional class "A/B" design would actually be better (cleaner) than the newer class "H" types, in my case? Read somewhere that the latter may be more acceptable to RF nasties.

This amp is going to sit on a stand, and go nowhere, so weight is not an issue.
