Well, Mackies and Dynaudio are proven, sure values; they utilize premium drivers and electronics, that much we know... I took a look at the alesis proposition. If it was for me, I would not pick it because of too much output equalization circuitry (the dsp version). I came across a few reviews on the old Alesis (M1?) and the bottom line seems to be that they are not as good sounding as the mackies or Dynaudio.
I have not read one reviewer who did not like the Mackies or Dynaudios.
