Telefunken R-F-T M16, Mark II tube microphone?

Hello:

I would be interested to know if anyone has seen or even used one of the new R-F-T M16, Mark II tube microphones produced by Telefunken USA. The microphone lists for about $1500, or discounted to about $1399 in some places.

There is very little information out on this product, but unless the capsule is entirely Chinese and/or the boards are manufctured abroad and the unit is assembled domestically, it seems like a decent looking product, all things considered.

In fact, the impact of its sheer appearance is quite astonishing.

However, a "wolf in sheeps clothing" comes to mind. How many Chinese tube-based microphones can one have on the market?

An infinite number, apparently.
