setting up p.a. in a bar, a question

68.99.5.132

i'm currently setting up a p.a. in my bar to host some live shows. we already have the equipment and i had a question. we're setting up the board in the back of the bar and running the cables under the floor up to the stage area. in the basement below the area that the board will be is our circuit breaker boxe and the point where our electricity enters the building. will running the cables for the mics/mains/monitors anywhere near these power lines cause any hum? if we use our current plan the farthest we can place our pa cables is about a foot from the nearest ac lines. so i'm wondering if placing these cables near the ac is going to cause some distortion in the sound. any suggestions as to shielding the cables or anything else is greatly appreciated. thanks.
