I'm guessing that this is for a college project, so outside of the mic choice, consider that a DI on the bass might be a necessity, it is also likely that you would want to compress the bass, and possibly the Trumpet. A high pass filter may also be needed/desirable on the trumpet. Mics? Well any good proprietry mics could do the job, at the lower end of the scale SM57 for trumpet right up to AKG 414, Neumann U87, or Audio Technica 4050. Bass, D112 possibly although I would favour good condensor mic like U47fet. If the bass players cab isn't good (all to common) a DI would save your life!Regards
