Bass Guitar Hi-Fi Cabinet [crossposted]

I'm planning a new cabinet to use with a Line 6 Bass Pod modeling pre-amp for bass guitar. It'll be for stage use in smallish venues where my signal will not likely be fed to the PA, nor to foldbacks. Desired system virtues are low distortion, good dispersion, high efficiency, high SPL, and compact size.
My present concept is a vented box loaded with a 15" JBL 2226G (direct radiator), an 8" JBL 2012H or a 12" JBL 2020H (direct radiator), and a JBL 2301 "potato masher" (which I already have) driven by a JBL 2426H. I'd be actively crossing over at 320Hz(+/-), and 1,000 - 1200Hz.

Questions:
1) Is the extra overall sensitivity of the 2020H worth the worse distortion and dispersion in the high mid-range, compared to the 2012H?
2) Is there a better, more cost effective choice than the 2426H, given the application?
3) What's a good combination of amps to power this rig in 3 rack spaces?
4) Would there be a downside to angling the horn up for better coverage of the players?

Thanks,
DCH
