Tascam CD601 Baud Rate question

Hi,
I have a Tascam CD601 cd player which has 2 dip switches on the real panel for 'baud rate'. Does anyone out there know what these do and how they should be set? I've never come across these switches before and can't seem to find any info about it on the web.
