RE: Yamaha Pro or QSC older amps for sub use?

Best case you have a listen, then take a look inside and see if you can see any sloppy service work. Non-standard transistors swapped in, swapped out PS transformer, or wiring added to bridge around a burned out PS circuit board would all disqualify. Older stuff is all about condition (IMHO), and aside from a listening test, peeking inside is the only quick way to gather info.
