I remember a friend on the road with the back up band for Tommy Roe

He had several of the older Yamaha amps

Although they are great amps the problem he had was finding replacement
output transistors for these amps

I believe they were not available or something...

If you are buying an older amp keep in mind it will eventually need service
Because of the part issue on the Yamahas I would go with the QSC amp

I have had a few older QSC amps and they really are good amps

I would definitely take the lid off of it and take it to the garage
and blow out the insides with an air compressor or the likes

Clean the power fan blades off and so forth
