Hi, friends,
I own a stereo system in which I have an external Blue Circle DAC, model SBD. I feed this DAC with a cheap DENON DVD-1920 used as CD Transport.
Blue Circle´s people have been using TASCAM DV-RA1000 as CD Transport, reporting great results. According to them, just a few dedicated CD Transport costing twice as much would be comparable to DV-RA1000. A genuine bargain.
Also I have seen some people say professional cd players present much better cost-benefit relation than a consumer cd player; someone would be supposed to purchase a consumer cd player costing twice as much to achieve the same performance of a professional cd player.
Does anyone have experience using professional cd players or recorders as hifi cd transport? What do you think?
A TASCAM CD-01UPRO or a DENON DN-C640, for example, are able to be good CD Transport?
Cheers,
João
