It's hard to say without more info.
If you're looking for high performance--i.e., extremely high accuracy, ultra-low noise and distortion--at a decent price I would recommend a look at the PLX series (including the old PLX series if you're shopping used gear).
Being accurate, the amp will sound only as good as what you put into it and what you listen through. It won't make bad program material or bad loudspeakers sound good.
