RE: 24/96 in and out from Alesis Masterlink

Because you didn't record it at 24/96.

You have to set it up to record via analog inputs, set up a new playlist, create a track, play it in in real time, recording at 24/96. There is no SRC option for imported files from the CD-R drive. Only SRC to in Redbook mode.

Once it is recorded at 24/96 (which is silly because it will never be more informational (data speaking) than what it is on your CD), then you can listen to it or burn it to CD24.
