i have a yamaha cr-620 reciever sansui 2500's. i have a vestax mixer connected directly to the reciever via RCA and 2 sl-1200's out of the mixer. the sound is alright, not as good as i want it to be.. but i bare with it. but when i run the mixer through a synth machine to the sl 1200s... the sound goes bad. lots of static, it gets quieter. im not sure why it does this. but besides the fact.. what would be a proper setup for what im dealing with. im thinking about getting a new reciever and speakers but im not really sure if thats the problem. due to how old they are, i think it is the problem. help anyone?
