The AudioFire 4 and 8 contain two mic pres each, the 2 and the 12(mine) do not.
Got no idea about their quality since I was specifically looking for convertors without pres.
I've already got 16 of them built into the Soundcraft and 6 in the Pico which are of significantly higher quality then anything built into a convertor as both these mixers were very expensive indeed when new (US$11k and 5K). Thank heavens for s/h: I paid less then 10% of that...
