RE: Center Clusters

Are outstanding if you can get the coverage right. When I spec a system, I always start with a great center and then add a LR support channel with all speakers tuned for complete coverage. The LR is used only for steering selected instruments.

For example, in our own church set-up we have a miked piano and a guitar amp and electronic drum kit on the left. And their output goes ONLY to the left PA - which faces almost across the hall to get coverage. All the rest, choir on risers, pulpit, wireless on preacher and music leaders go only to the center cluster - which is really a triple stack - Facing L-C-R. The right speaker stack goes completely unused most the time. The minister and elders don't even know it!
