small active monitors

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

I need some help (from experianced users ) i'm looking at some small monitors for a computer sound system. The two ive got in the frame are Edirol MA-15D or M-Audio DX4.
My main use will be music mainly rock but also classical vocals (inc opera) occasionally, + the odd "crash and bash" action movie tracks.
the room is quite small 6ftx12ft What is the best?
