behringer Truths - likely 5 yrs old - your opinions re other pro-active minis

8 inch 2 ways! A friend owns them! he's been a lead / rhythm guitar player since his teens, late 40's now! Probably deaf? ;-)!

Personally? on the Truths .........

I think they are irredeemably hard and edgy sounding and LESS detailed than my OLDDDD late 70's spheres which use Foster/x drivers - same vintage.

8 inch two-ways with NO low-pass*, bi-amped, and so they are semi-active* as well! High-pass is 1st order, cascading to 3rd? - Due to the Fs trap @ 1.1k - on the big 35mm soft dome! 96?db/w or more.

The mid-bass is an FW202 - 38mm VC, bowl-shaped paper cone, backed with bitumen!!!, cloth half-roll surround, Fs 27hz, 91db/w!! Rolls off just above 3.3k!! It has paralleled R & C for 'Z-rise eq' across the terminals, but nothing else.

Response in each sphere is -3db @ 35hz and 13k - reaching 7db down at 20k! ;~)!
