I am in the process of doing a buildout of a nightclub in new orleans that I will be the head chef for. the venue is 10000 sq ft (dance floor, bar, etc about 6000) with 25' cielings. there will be a mezzanine over part of the floor. it used to be a theater. I am putting the audio system together and looking for recomendations. the music will range from live jazz to dj/dance music late at night...so the system needs to be clean and powerfull.
I am leaning towards either turbosound or else eaw speakers. what do you think of these for use to fit my needs, are there any better ones? cost is a factor, but I would rather spend a few $$ more and have a great system. I am figuring it will likely cost me in the range of $100k for the total audio system(including mikes for the band, monitors, etc.). would like to keep it below that as I have a lot of other expenses as well including video and lighting as well as building out the restaurant.
any audio nuts out there in the area feel like working with me and putting a bid together for this big project. I am looking at building the biggest and best venue the city has ever seen.
