Thanks for chimin' in.

I just want to look at USB devices for now. Some of the engineering types over in "PC Audio" have given a lot of Firewire devices a bad rap, talking about high jitter in that particular interface.

I'm not sure if one CAN make blanket statements about Firewire versus USB 2.0. SO much depends on the hardware, firware, and drivers it seems. Anyways, there are 10 times as many firewire solutions as there are USB. I like the MOTU 896 HD (192 khz) for example. Lynx also makes the Aurora 8.

I think I would need to get Presonus online. (I am not away of any local dealers that have it.) Heard good things about Presonus though.
