Right, right. I realized it would make no difference after I posted that. Somewhere in the dim recesses of my brain I had a recollection of Shure mics needing special cables because the hot pin was different than on other mics. I don't know where that came from. Maybe on the dynamic mics used with unbalanced cables in PA systems? I don't know.
