Hi. Any help whatsoever would be great. I have a Topaz Ultra-Isolation Transformer and I want to primarily isolate grounds (safety and signal) in an audio system where some components are 2 prong plug consumer, and some are 3 prong pro. ground loops are produced in such arrangements, unless the safety ground is "lifted" (bad!), or a "special transformer"?? is used. I think the Topaz is good for at least RF noise rejection, but I also need 60~ hum rejection.
Can somebody please tell me if I could use this transformer? Here are the specifications:
Input: 120 Volts 60Hz
Output: 120 Volts 1kVA
Common Mode Rejection 126 dB
Effective Interwinding Capacitance <= .005 pF
Insulation Resistance >= 10,000 Mega Ohms
Temperature Rise (Full Load): 55 degrees CelsiusThanks
