I do intend to experiment with the xovers a bit. However, I must say that now I that I understand more about what Bruce was about when he settled on this xover I can appreciate how he is using the natural responses of the drivers.

Obviously, changing the crossover points is not such a big deal. However, if the mid-bass xover point is moved too much higher the impedance of the 15B's begins to climb rather dramatically. This can be counter-acted with a Zobel. But then I start down the road of adding more passives and trying to decide if these are helping or hurting the sound. Still, I plan on doing some of this if for no other reason than the knowledge learned.

Then there is placement in the room. I don't have enough room to make large changes but I'm guessing a foot or so one way or the other around the current locations can change things dramatically. Then, if I do change the xovers, I'll need to play with location again because other frequencies with bump or dip.

I do have about 30 acres of woods directly behind my house. If I could get these monsters outside, playing them towards the woods would certainly be great for individual driver measurements. This might be useful if I was evaluating different drivers with the horns. At this point, I'm happy with the current drivers so I'm focusing on the in-room response.
