Good point; I would add that since often a speakers response changes some as one moves a bit further away, it is an even better idea to measure the speaker response out doors at say 2 meters or 10 meters for a large subwoofer system.
This "up close error" can bee seen (likely) in the close up measure of this horn subwoofer. The problem effect causes an excess of indicated pressure as the frequency goes down so when you measure further away, the slope will be different. The “psudo sound” as it is called is the result of the kinetic motion of the air impacting on the microphone, in addition to actual pressure displacing it.
Horn subwoofers normally slope the other direction but speaker reality in this case can be measured even at a meter or two if outdoors.
