Yes, I agree.

The difference in measuring at 1 meter vs. measuring at the listening position does show the interaction with the room. Every room has a transfer function. But we've no real way to predict what that is without measuring.

"Until you know exactly what the speakers are doing at 1 meter you can't begin to treat the room."

I don't know if I completely agree with that. I believe it is pretty safe to say that all in-home rooms will benefit from bass traps, and lots of them. At the same time, this is close to the reason I'm looking at the measurement from the listening position. I'm now searching for that last little bit of room tweaks to see if I can improve any more.

It depends on what one is working on at the time. If you're tweaking crossovers it makes more sense to use the measurements at 1 meter. Even so I think it wise to take a peak at what is happening out in the room.

These plots where taken up even with the mouth openings of each horn. I did not disconnect them from the xovers. Yes, I did move closer than 1 meter because I wanted to ensure I was seeing what the driver and xover were doing without any effect from the room. I know, tough to do while still in the room. And again, these were the first plots I've taken so it's more of a verification that the mic and software work.

There may be a difference in mid-bass drivers between your's and mine. These drivers are EVM 15B's. This measurement is pretty close to what was predicted by pspice when I modeled the xovers.
