Computer Audio Asylum

I'm currently using a very good conventional dac for playback. What will I gain by going to a usb dac? Is it the elimination of the usb-s\pdif conversion? I am very pleased with the quality I'm getting now compared to my single disc transport and dont know if there's a reason to change.
