I have never heard the RME, so I don't know- heard good things though. I can tell you that the Lynx I have hass all you need, and I think it is worth the money.

From my own experience, it just doesn't hurt to have more flexibility. TODAY you might not need it, but one day who knows.

I NEVER thought that I would need the AD on mine, but, I have been thinking of connecting a tuner (as long as I am not bi-amping), and one day I will hook up my VCR and turn my recorded vinyl (you know HIFI VCRs can have near CD quality) into .wav files. OK it is only one album, and all my Vinyl is gone, but I can't find the CD so it is better than nothing.

Also, I NEVER would have imagined that I would need 3 or more digital outs, BUT with the new digital amps coming along it would be nice- imagine running 24/96 digital right into these amps. I wish I had them just in case.
