RE: Linux Question

87.185.74.48

I have been using an earlier ARM based Marvell SoC for a year or two. It uses a busybox based cut down version of Linux which has proved irritating at times when the cut down commands have been missing required features forcing the full command to be found and installed. A full Debian (or Debian derived in the case of Ubuntu) system is going to be significantly easier to use but had not been ported to the ARM when I first set things up.

You are likely to want something other than a full networked computer to control the music. I found my portable PC too clumsy and soon swapped to a hand controller. A modern portable phone is another option these days.
