I recently received the finalized version of the Ridge Street Audio Design Enopias. The new cable had a ground, but no VBUS line. This is an optional version since the standard cable has the VBUS line. Robert has made several improvements in manufacture of the cable resulting in a surprising improvement in the sound of the new cable. All of the previously mentioned qualities were retained including the enormous three-dimensional soundstage. The new cable was even more open in the high end and was better at resolving high end detail.

If you are a “USB skeptic” and own a fine USB DAC, I would strongly recommend that you take Robert up on his 45 day return policy. I feel that the Enopias is a magnificent accomplishment.
