I take your point about rubber products. I don't mind keeping an eye on it and tightening up the slack or replacing elastic once in a while. I think some kind or medical or automotive tubing might be more durable, unless I could find the stuff that came with my desktop PC - used it for 2-3 years now and no stretching, no wear and tear at all. Tech-Flex tubing? You don't mean the woven polymer sheath Tech-Flex that we finish off home-made cables with - no give in that, so hard to imagine how it isolates vibration, but I'll give it a try on your say-so, next time I muck about with the HDD. But I'm not going back to the normal drive mounts, whatever.
